Surf & Sand Hotel — 0.2 Miles | 3-Minute Walk | 1-Minute Drive

If you’re staying at Surf & Sand on Fort Pickens Road, you are our closest neighbor on the island. The walk takes about three minutes along the Sound side of Pensacola Beach Blvd — you can practically see the Frisky Mermaid from your balcony. No rideshare needed, no parking to figure out. Walk over, hop on, see dolphins.

Hampton Inn Pensacola Beach — 0.5 Miles | 8-Minute Walk | 1-Minute Drive

The Hampton Inn sits at 2 Via De Luna, just a short walk from our dock at Sabine Marina. It’s an easy stroll along the beach road — flat, walkable, and shaded in spots. Most guests drive and park, but the walk is genuinely pleasant if you’re not in a rush.

The Pensacola Beach Resort — 0.5 Miles | 8-Minute Walk | 1-Minute Drive

Located on Fort Pickens Road just west of the dock, The Pensacola Beach Resort is one of the most convenient hotels on the island for getting on the water. Eight-minute walk or less than a minute by car. If you’re staying here and haven’t booked a cruise yet, there’s no reason to wait until tomorrow.

Hilton Pensacola Beach — 0.6 Miles | 9-Minute Walk | 1-Minute Drive

The Hilton at 12 Via De Luna is a short walk east of our departure point. Guests staying here often walk over for morning dolphin cruises before the beach gets busy — it’s one of the best ways to start a day on Pensacola Beach. Dolphins are most active in the early morning hours and the Sound is glassy calm before the afternoon breeze picks up.

Holiday Inn Resort Pensacola Beach Gulf Front — 0.6 Miles | 10-Minute Walk | 1-Minute Drive

Right next door to the Hilton at 14 Via De Luna, the Holiday Inn Resort Gulf Front guests are equally well-positioned. A ten-minute walk or one minute by car puts you at the dock with time to spare. If you’re traveling with kids and want the full dolphin experience without a long drive, this is as convenient as it gets on the Gulf Coast.

Holiday Inn Express Pensacola Beach — 0.8 Miles | 12-Minute Walk | 2-Minute Drive

The Holiday Inn Express at 333 Fort Pickens Road is the furthest west of the cluster hotels — still less than a mile from our dock. Most guests drive the two minutes over, but it’s a walkable distance along the beach road if you’re in the mood for a stroll before your cruise.

Portofino Island Resort — 5 Miles | 12-Minute Drive

Portofino sits at the eastern end of Santa Rosa Island — a beautiful property, but a different part of the beach from where most of the island’s activity is concentrated. The drive to our dock is about 12 minutes along Gulf Beach Highway heading west toward Casino Beach. Portofino guests make the trip regularly, and with daily departures from early morning through evening, there’s always a time slot that fits your day at the resort.

Can I Book a Same-Day Dolphin Cruise?

What to Know Before You Come

Where to park: Free public parking is available across the street from our dock at 715 Pensacola Beach Blvd, and additional parking is available at Casino Beach near the Beach Ball Water Tower. If you’re staying within walking distance, skip the car entirely.

What to bring: Sunscreen, a hat, a light layer for the breeze on the water, and your phone for dolphin photos. Soft drinks and bottled water are complimentary onboard. You’re welcome to bring a small cooler — no glass please.

Arrive early: We leave on time, every time. Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before your departure. If you miss the boat, there are no refunds — so give yourself a buffer, especially if you’re walking from your hotel.
