Food & Beverage Policy
Private event guests are welcome to bring their own food aboard. A few guidelines to keep things running smoothly:
- Food must be easy to hold, easy to eat, and quick to clean up — think finger foods, not a full spread
- Disposable and biodegradable products are preferred
- No open flames onboard
- Non-alcoholic beverages and light snacks are available for purchase on most cruises
- Please drink responsibly — operating a vessel under the influence is illegal and our captains reserve the right to address any safety concerns

Does my private cruise include a captain?
Yes — every Frisky Mermaid dolphin cruise includes a dedicated licensed captain regardless of vessel size. Your group has the full boat and a captain focused entirely on your experience. The only self-captained option at Frisky Mermaid is our pontoon boat rentals.How far in advance should I book a private cruise?
As early as possible — especially for summer weekends, holidays, and Blue Angels practice days on Pensacola Beach. Private charters book up fast during peak season. We recommend reaching out at least 2–4 weeks in advance, and earlier if your date falls during Spring Break or the July 4th weekend.Can we customize the cruise itinerary?
Yes, within reason. Let us know your preferences when you submit your inquiry — sunset timing, a beach stop, a specific route along the Santa Rosa Sound — and we’ll do our best to build a cruise that fits your occasion. Your captain will have the final call on any route adjustments based on conditions on the day.Is gratuity included in the price?
Gratuity is not included in the base charter price. Our captains and crew work hard to make your Pensacola Beach event special — a standard gratuity of 18–20% is appreciated and can be noted in your booking inquiry.Are private cruises pet friendly?
Yes — well-behaved pets are welcome on private charters aboard the smaller Frisky1 and 2Frisky tritoon vessels. Please note your furry first mate in the inquiry form so we can plan accordingly.
