About Our Dolphin Cruises
Pensacola Beach is one of the best places on the Gulf Coast to see wild dolphins — and Frisky Mermaid makes it easy to get out there. We run dolphin cruises every day of the week, from affordable shared cruises on the 52-foot Frisky Mermaid to intimate small group sunset cruises aboard our tritoon boats. All ages welcome — from infants to grandparents, there’s a cruise built for every group. Browse your options below and book directly online.
Shared Dolphin Cruise
Climb aboard the 52-foot Frisky Mermaid for Pensacola Beach’s most popular dolphin
cruise. This is the classic Gulf Coast experience — a fun, relaxed cruise through the Santa Rosa Sound and out toward the Gulf where Pensacola Bay’s resident dolphin pods are spotted on nearly every trip. Our experienced captains know exactly where to find them and will keep you entertained throughout the cruise with commentary on local marine life, Pensacola Beach history, and the waterways that make this stretch of the Gulf Coast one of the most dolphin-rich in the South.
With daily departures and room for up to 49 guests, it’s easy to find a time that works for your group. Perfect for families, couples, and first-time visitors to Pensacola Beach. All ages welcome — infants, toddlers, and children of all ages are always welcome aboard. Every passenger, including little ones, requires a ticket.
Looking for a sunset experience on the big boat? We also run ticketed sunset cruises aboard the Frisky Mermaid — check the schedule for evening departure times.

Small Group Private Cruise
For a more personal experience on the water, our small group private cruises take you out
on the Frisky1 or 2Frisky — our 24-foot tritoon boats built for intimate groups cruising Pensacola Bay and the Santa Rosa Sound. With a maximum of six guests, you get the full attention of your captain, a relaxed pace, and the freedom to enjoy the cruise on your own terms. No crowds, no sharing the rail — just your group and the Gulf Coast.
These cruises are a favorite for date nights, birthday celebrations, bachelorette parties, anniversary trips, and family outings where a more private experience on the water is exactly what you’re looking for. Private and semi-private options are both available depending on your group size and preference.

Sunset Dolphin Cruise
There’s something about watching dolphins in the water as the sun drops below the
horizon that makes for a Pensacola Beach evening you won’t forget. Our sunset dolphin cruise runs aboard the Frisky1 or 2Frisky, giving small groups an intimate, unhurried experience on the Santa Rosa Sound and Pensacola Bay as the sky shifts from blue to pink to gold.
Departure times shift throughout the season to line up with the sunset — early evening in summer, afternoon departures in the winter months — so every cruise gets the full show regardless of the time of year. The smaller group size means less noise, more space, and a pace that actually lets you take it all in.
Whether you’re celebrating something special or just want to end a Pensacola Beach day the right way, this is the cruise for it. Book early — sunset spots are among the first to fill.

Blue Angels & Dolphin Cruise
Pensacola is home to the Blue Angels — the US Navy’s world-famous flight demonstration
squadron based at Naval Air Station Pensacola — and this seasonal cruise lets you watch them practice from the water, one of the best and most unobstructed vantage points you’ll find anywhere along the Gulf Coast. While the jets fly their formations directly overhead, dolphins often cruise alongside the boat in the Santa Rosa Sound below. There are no bleachers, no crowds blocking your view, and no barriers between you and the sky. Just open water, the sound of the engines, and dolphins in the wake.
The cruise runs most Tuesdays and Wednesdays during scheduled Blue Angels practice days, March through October, with a 9:35AM departure. Seats fill up fast on practice mornings — it’s a uniquely Pensacola experience that’s genuinely hard to replicate anywhere else.
Check the practice schedule and book early — this one sells out.

Are dolphin sightings guaranteed?
While we can’t make promises about wild animals, dolphins are spotted on the vast majority of our cruises. Pensacola Beach is home to a large resident population of bottlenose dolphins that are active year-round, and our captains know the waterways and feeding areas of the Santa Rosa Sound and Pensacola Bay where they’re most likely to be found. Sightings are the norm, not the exception — but every trip on the water is a little different, and that’s part of what makes it special.
What should I bring and what should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting a little wind-blown and bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. The sun on the water is intense, especially mid-day. Soft-soled shoes are recommended — no heels on the boat. For evening cruises, bring a light layer as it can cool down once you’re out on the water.
What is your cancellation and weather policy?
We monitor conditions closely and will contact you directly if a cruise needs to be rescheduled or cancelled due to weather. If we cancel, you’ll receive a full refund or the option to rebook. If you need to cancel on your end, please refer to the cancellation terms at the time of booking. We recommend keeping an eye on the forecast as your date approaches.
